Vote for your favorite smart kids with the smart answers!
1. Register your name & active email address.
2. Click on the "Smart ba ito?" button to check out the different entries of kids.
3. If you think that their answers are smart, then click on the "Vote!" button to place your vote.
4. You can vote for as many kids as you want, however, you can only vote for the same kid only once (1) per day.
5. Vote often and get a chance to win an Ovaltine gift pack worth Php 500 every week amongst all the voters from February 01 - April 30, 2010.
6. The weekly winner of the Ovaltine gift pack will be notified via email.
7. The prize must be claimed at the – Y&R Office in Taguig City from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Mondays to Fridays.
When claiming the prize, the winner and his / her parent / guardian must present at least one (1) valid identification card each.
8. If the winner does not claim his / her prize by May 31, 2010, the prize shall be forfeited in favor of AB Food & Beverages Philippines, Inc. subject to the prior approval of the concerned government and regulatory agencies.
9. Employees of AB Food & Beverages Philippines, Inc., those of its affiliates, subsidiaries, distributors, dealers, suppliers, advertising and promotional agencies, Department of Health – Bureau of Food and Drug representatives, and their relatives up to the second (2nd) degree of consanguinity or affinity, are disqualified from joining this promotion.
Promo mechanics for participants
Who can join

1. Promo participant
Filipino students age five (5) to twelve (12) years old. He or she may join with or without a school partner.
2. School Partner
For every child that participates in the promo, the school that he or she is enrolled in is included as their partner and can win prizes if they are able to fulfill the following requirements:
- The child is part of the 10 winners
- The child was able to get at least 1,000 votes
- The school acknowledges the child is enrolled in their school and acknowledges their participation as the child´s partner in the promo via a letter with the school´s letterhead.
- A scanned copy of the school acknowledgment letter should be submitted.

The school is limited to having 3 winners only.


Entry specifications

Submit a photo, video, artwork or an essay of a child expressing their thoughts on this question: "What can a smart kid do for his country?" together with proof of purchase.

Proof of purchase can be in the form of the following:
1. Video & Photo – child must be shown holding a pack of Ovaltine.
2. Essay & Artwork – child must send in his picture together with the artwork or essay holding an Ovaltine pack.

The Ovaltine pack seen in the video/photo should be at least 200/220g pouch minimum. Below are the valid Ovaltine packs:
a. 200/220g pouch
b. 300g/330g pouch
c. 425g jar
d. 600g pouch
e. 1kg pouch

Video length must be a maximum of one (1) minute only, and should not exceed 15MB. Videos can be done using camera phones.

Photos and artworks should be limited to one page only.

Essays should have a maximum of 150 words.

Entries that do not comply with the specifications indicated will be automatically disqualified from the promo.


How to send entries

1. To join the promotion, contestants/parents/teachers/guardians may send their entries to the ff:

i. Log on to the website
ii. Register the contestant´s name, parent´s/guardian´s name, email address, home address, contact numbers and school name
iii. Upload the entry (video, photo, artwork, essay) with the proof of purchase as explained in the entry specifications portion
b. Y&R Philippines
i. Save the video/photo/artwork/essay file on a CD with the proof of purchase as explained in the entry specifications portion
ii. On a piece of paper, write down the contestant´s name, parent´s/guardian´s name, email address, home address, contact numbers and school name.
iii. Send the entry and the contact information to Y&R Philippines, 9th flr Marajo Tower, 312 26th Street West cor 4th Avenue, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig
c. Via Email
i. Send an email to smarterphilippines@gmail.com containing the following:
a. Promo entry in the form of video, photo, essay or artwork with the proof of purchase as explained in the entry specifications portion
b. The following information: contestant´s name, parent´s/guardian´s name, email address, home address, contact numbers and school name.

February 1 to April 30, 2010
Criteria for judging of entries
Ten(10) winners will be selected by the Ovaltine team on May 31, 2010 using the following criteria:

     1. Meaning & Relevance: 50%
     2. Votes: 25%
     3. Creativity and Over-all Impact: 25%
Notification of winners
Winners will be notified via telephone call and registered mail and/or email by May 31, 2010


Prizes
10 winners will win a computer package worth P20,000 as well as their corresponding schools. The school can win more than once but a maximum of 3x only.

Taxes and other applicable assessments on any prizes given under this promo shall be shouldered by AB Food & Beverages Philippines, Inc. Prizes are non transferable.
Claiming of Prizes

Prizes must be claimed at Y&R Philippines Inc., 9th Flr. Marajo Tower, 312 26th St cor 4th Ave, Bonifacio Global City from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on or before the last business day of Aug 2010. When claiming the prize, the winning children and/their parents/guardians must present at least one (1) valid identification card each, a photocopy of the child´s birth certificate, and the notification sent to them as winners, whether by printed email, letter-notification or any other communication sent by AB Food & Beverages Philippines, Inc.

The school representative must present valid school ID and Authorization letter from the Principal´s Office.

If the winners fail to claim his/her prize on or before the last business day of Aug 2010, the prize shall be forfeited in favor of AB Food & Beverages Philippines, Inc. subject to the prior approval of the concerned government and regulatory agencies.
Responsibilities of the Winners
The receipt of prizes shall be contingent on their participation in Ovaltine´s press releases for the contest if AB Food & Beverages Philippines, Inc. opts to have these.

The winners´ will be informed beforehand of the schedule for all preparatory works and activities as well as the actual date for the shooting, production and/or event for the Ovaltine contest press releases.

The winners´ who will not be available, or refuses to participate in the production of any press materials shall be disqualified from receiving the prizes. However, AB Food & Beverages Philippines, Inc. may choose to excuse such failure or refusal if the reasons given are justifiable based on AB Food & Beverages Philippines, Inc´s sole discretion.

In case of a disqualification under this provision, AB Food & Beverages Philippines, Inc. shall be entitled to choose the next winner based on the tally of scores.

The press releases for the contest can only be published within a 15-month period from the time a memorandum of agreement has been signed between AB Food & Beverages Philippines & the parents/guardians of the winners.

AB Food & Beverages Philippines, Inc. and the winners shall mutually agree on the terms and conditions to govern their continued relationship beyond the allowable period.

Without prejudice to the agreement of the parties, AB Food & Beverages Philippines, Inc. may continue to use all press materials beyond the allowable period within AB Food & Beverages Philippines, Inc. for internal purposes.

Nothing stated herein, however, may be construed as making it obligatory for AB Food & Beverages Philippines, Inc. to feature the winners in the press releases.
Miscellania
Employees of AB Food & Beverages Philippines, Inc. , those of its affiliates, subsidiaries, distributors, dealers, suppliers, advertising and promotional agencies, Department of Health – Bureau of Food and Drug representatives, and their relatives up to the second (2nd) degree of consanguinity or affinity, are disqualified from joining this promotion
TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. All uploaded materials (photo, video, artwork or essay) shall be first subjected to a pre-screening process by AB Food & Beverages Philippines, Inc. and its website administrators before actual inclusion in the Ovaltine Website.
2. AB Food & Beverages Philippines, Inc. reserves the right to deny / grant approval to any uploaded entries. Likewise, entries may be removed without the participant’s prior consent or notification.
3. Uploading copyrighted or defamatory entries, or entries other than the participant´s will result in immediate disqualification from the contest.
4. AB Food & Beverages Philippines, Inc. assumes no responsibility for damages that may arise from the use and misuse of any publicly displayed entries of its participants.
5. Upon uploading of the same, all videos and entries become the property of AB Food & Beverages Philippines, Inc. Subject to existing laws, AB Food & Beverages Philippines, Inc. may use said property in any of its promotional activities without further consent of contestant.
